Professional Experience

Patrick began his professional career as a fire claims representative for State Farm Insurance, where he evaluated claims made by insureds to determine the extent of covered losses, negotiated settlements and administered satisfaction of claims, including extensive work with contractors. He subsequently attended law school and began his legal practice with a solo practitioner gaining extensive trial experience handling a wide array of matters including serious criminal matters (attempted murders, kidnappings, drug offenses, etc.) and civil matters including personal injury cases, breach of contract disputes, and civil defense of clients denied insurance coverage.

After five years of honing his trial skills, Patrick began defending one of the nation’s largest healthcare providers in a multitude of claims including medical malpractice and premise liability cases. He also represents design professionals, engineers, contractors, real estate brokers and other professionals in claims involving errors and omissions, construction defects, and professional liability claims. Patrick joined SBRS in August, 2012 after sending five years with two national law firms practicing defending liability claims.
